Today the Portland Thorns FC officially revealed this season’s jersey, designed by Nike in collaboration with Thorns players, revealing that they’re going back to black in 2025!
Inspired by community and fueled by passion, the new kit is a celebration of the heart and soul of Portland—the vibrant community that drives the Thorns forward each season.
To capture this momentous release, the photoshoot took place at the historic Pittock Mansion, an iconic Portland landmark that represents the city's rich heritage and lasting legacy. In a beautiful expression of their individuality, each player styled themselves for the shoot, bringing their unique personalities to the campaign. The overall photoshoot was styled by Marcus Fischer.
The dark shades of black symbolize the city’s strength and unity, while the glowing reds represent the embers burning at the heart of the Thorns and its supporters. Just like a small spark can grow into an unstoppable fire, the Thorns are powered by the passion of players and fans alike. The Pride Mark—"Onward Rose City"—captures collective determination to push forward, together. This jersey is a tribute to the internal fire that connects us all, a reminder that success, both on the field and in the community, comes from a shared purpose and a powerful, unified effort.
For the first time, authentic versions of the Thorns' 2025 kit will be available for purchase from PTFC Authentics. This includes goalkeeper kits, which will be available at the time of launch.
The replica versions feature significant upgrades this year including an embroidered crest, and also expanded sizes to accommodate all body types including Women's cuts available in XS to 2X and Men's cuts available in S to 3X.
