
Preparing for her second season in Portland, Isabella Obaze is coming into 2025 ready to build off the strong start to her NWSL career in which she contested 1,017 minutes across 13 appearances.
Obaze landed in Portland with an impressive resume which included a strong stint with FC Rosengård in Sweden where she played UEFA Women’s Champions League matches and five seasons in the Danish top-flight before she hit the age of 20. Debuting professionally with her hometown club KoldingQ at 16, she found great success with HB Køge where she lifted three straight Danish Kvindeligaen’s (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23). She also competed in the 2021 and 2023 Champions League Qualifying Rounds, helping Køge clinch a first ever Group Stage berth in 2021.
Internationally, Obaze debuted for Denmark’s senior side in 2022 at 19 years old after impressive performances in league play as well as the Danish national U-17 and U-19 youth levels. A defensive stalwart for the Danes, she’s appeared in UEFA Women’s Nations League matches in 2023 and 2025.
