
Reilyn Turner is set to continue showcasing her strong offensive abilities as she heads into her sophomore NWSL season as Thorn.
Brought in August 2024 via a trade with Racing Louisville FC, Turner had a solid start to her NWSL career. As a rookie between Portland and Louisville, she combined for 22 regular season appearances and found the back of the net on four occasions while bagging two assists (the first assist coming in her NWSL debut).
Turner, a University of California, Los Angeles alum, inked a professional NWSL contract with after she was selected #6 overall in the first round of the 2024 NWSL College Draft. She graduated as one of the most historic players in UCLA history, helping the Bruins’ lift the 2022 NCAA DI National Championship and clinching postseason berths each season she was there. Additionally, her honors include being the 2022 NCAA DI Women’s Soccer Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year, 2023 Pac-12 Forward of the Year and 2020/21 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.
Turner – who became the historic first college athlete to sign an NIL Deal with sportswear giant Nike in 2021 – finished her UCLA career ranking fifth all-time in goals (42), game-winning goals (16) and multi-game goals (7) as well as finishing sixth all-time in points (99).
