Heading into her fifth season with the Thorns, Olivia Moultrie remains the youngest player on the Portland roster and will look to continue making major offensive contributions on the pitch in 2025.
Moultrie is no stranger to paving paths to success, becoming a professional player at 13 years old and leading the charge for the NWSL to build its U-18 Entry Mechanism. Since signing for Portland in 2021 at 15, she contributed greatly to Portland’s 2021 NWSL Shield, NWSL Challenge Cup and Women’s International Champion Cup winning campaigns before going on to help the team win its historic third NWSL title in 2022.
Because of her on-pitch performances and trailblazing efforts to open doors for young female athletes, Moultrie earned consecutive nominations for U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023, winning the honor the second time around.
Moultrie has earned opportunities to play internationally with the senior U.S. Women’s National Team, registering two goals in five appearances to date and lifting the CONCACAF W Gold Cup and SheBelieves Cup in 2024. She’s also represented the U.S. at various youth levels and competitions including the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Women’s Championship and the 2018 CONCACAF Girls U-15 Championship, lifting the title in the latter two competitions.
